In 1666 the first printed Bible in Armenian was published in the AAC printing house in Amsterdam.
The Bible was published by Voskan Yerevantsi. The book was published in a huge circulation for those times – 5,000 copies.
Two copies, published with great care, were presented to King Louis XIV of France and Pope Clement IX.
The binding of these copies was made by hand, and on the spine there was an image of the Mother of God with Jesus Christ in her arms
The Voskan Bible consists of 1462 pages and 159 illustrations.
