TATI PAPI MONUMENT-“WE ARE OUR MOUNTAINS”

On November 1, 1967, that is, exactly 56 years ago, the monument “We are our mountains” was unveiled in Stepanakert, Artsakh

Sculptor: Sarkis Baghdasaryan;
Architect: Yuri Akopyan.

The monument was deliberately built without a pedestal and seems to be at one with nature.

Rising from the ground, this monument symbolizes the national-patriotic feelings of the Armenians and their devotion to the Motherland.

This monument, also popularly known as “Tati-Papi”, is compared to the small and large peaks of Mount Ararat (Sis and Masis).
