Armenian women are those women who, thinking for their children and standing next to their husbands, took up arms and stood up to defend their homeland.
Fedai – Armenian partisan detachments that opposed the government troops of the Ottoman Empire, who exterminated them Kurds and Hamidiye. They operated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Fidai acted according to certain principles, which were later summarized and set forth by Andranik in his “Combat Instructions”. Fidai swore an oath: not to spare life for the sake of the motherland and people, to be truthful, morally pure, to keep entrusted secrets, to keep weapons in order, to shoot accurately, to be content with modest food, not to drink alcoholic beverages, to treat the working people with respect, to be brave and resourceful in battle, to defeat the enemy, to fight even if the enemy has numerical superiority, and so on.
